Kismet's instruction - based on the principles of Pangai-noon, a classic Chinese-Okinawan martial art - weaves in aspects of modern martial-arts, making it a traditional, yet unique blend of technique and practice.
Kismet Martial Arts is a Black Belt School and encourages students to maintain a higher level of discipline in all areas of their life, including academics. To promote academic excellence, we offer an academic award during belt ceremonies, to all students that display excellence in this area.
Age-based classes allow children to develop skills with similarly sized students who are at comparable skill levels, ensuring children are comfortable, confident, and have a good experience every time they are in a class at Kismet.
This class allows kids to learn basic kickboxing techniques in a fun class set to today’s latest musical hits. This class is great for young athletes, dancers, gymnasts or anyone who is interested in improving balance, increasing strength and having FUN! Gloves are required for this class - gloves are available at Kismet for purchase. This class is available to Warriors Basic and Intermediate students and is strongly encouraged. It is a requirement for students in our Junior Instructor Program.
Intended for preschool children, this program's goal is to introduce children to the dojo. The curriculum is based on martial arts principles but is taught through games and other fun activities that are age-appropriate for our tiniest Tigers.
Intended for older preschool children and younger school-aged children, this program's goal is to introduce children to the dojo and to provide instruction in basic technique and practice. The curriculum is taught through basic instruction in a fun environment that helps to keep our Tiny Tigers engaged and having fun.
Intended for school-aged children, this white belt program introduces children to basic martial arts techniques and skills in a structured class that focuses on improving balance, coordination, and strength. All Junior Warriors will have character-development goals associated with advancement to the Junior Warriors - Intermediate program. Kickboxing is available to Warriors Basic students and is strongly encouraged. It is a requirement for students in our Junior Instructor Program.
Intended for school-aged children, this intermediate program reinforces martial arts techniques and skills, while helping children to improve in their practice and advance in rank through the acquisition of more challenging skills. All Warriors have character development goals associated with advancement to the higher ranks within the program and eventual advancement into the Teens program. Kickboxing is available to Warriors Intermediate students and is strongly encouraged. It is a requirement for students in our Junior Instructor Program.
Intended for teens, this advanced program reinforces martial arts techniques and skills, while helping teens to improve in their practice and advance in rank through the acquisition of more challenging skills. Teens will learn to better cope with peer pressure, bullying, and other challenges of adolescence. Teen students will be prepared for eventual advancement into an adult program.
