Kismet Tweens Camp: It's a Wonderful World

Yoga - Kickboxing - Art - Fashion - Film - Sculpting - Zumba

Session 1: Zumba & Fashion Design July 27-July 31

Learn a different Latin-inspired Zumba dance routine each day in this action-packed, fun-filled class. Everyone loves Zumba, including tweens. In addition to Zumba, campers will focus their energy in Kismet's fashion-design course, learning about trends, fads and style while creating runway fashions (no sewing required in this class - we use iron-on tape and other materials to secure seams).

Session 2: Power Yoga & Arts & Crafts — August 3 - 7

Learn power yoga basics, including sun salutation series, twisting postures, beginner inversions & arm balances in this class that blends fun with serious yoga. Throughout the week, students will work on scrapbooking pages, dream catchers, decoupage projects and other forms of art inspired by their yoga practice.

Session 3: Partner Yoga & Sculpture of Me — August 10 - 14

Work with a partner to learn a fun twist on basic yoga poses. Partner not required for participation; pairs can be assigned at camp. Throughout the week, work with your partner to create a sculpture of you in your favorite yoga pose, using a material you never imagined possible: duct tape! Don't worry, we use the non-sticky side.

Session 4: Kickboxing and Film Creation — August 17 - 21

Students will learn kickboxing basics, while creating a martial-arts inspired film throughout the week. Campers will split their time between kickboxing classes and learning film-creation skills, such as writing a script, directing, acting and filming their very own movie. This camp will include a film premier that family and friends can attend at the end of the week, where campers can show off their kicking and punching moves captured on screen - watch out Jackie Chan!

Kickboxing gloves required - gloves can be purchased at Kismet.

Tweens Camp: Entering Grade 4 - Entering Grade 8, 1:00 - 4:30

Monday thru Friday: $180 ($195 after May 15) - $25 registration fee per family - 10% discount for siblings
